Lewtress's story
The Lewtress story began in 1995 with a Kombucha culture and a shared belief in natural health and good living. Early green tea Kombucha drinks and Kombucha Fusions were introduced to health food stores and wholesalers across the country, from West Wales to Brighton, London, and the Cotswolds. These early products helped shape the foundations of the Lewtress brand.
Rob and Cathay also received encouraging feedback on their artisan Kombucha at their naturopathic clinic in rural West Wales. As interest in their products grew, a purpose-built production unit was established in West Wales, where artisan Kombucha brewers continued the process with care. Lewtress Kombucha was created through a traditional long fermentation approach that reflected the brand’s wider philosophy of quality, patience, and authenticity.
