How Chlorella helps eliminate microplastic toxins

Chlorella + Kombucha: A Natural Defence Against Microplastics Our modern world is saturated with pollutants, and one of the most alarming threats is microplastics. These tiny particles are now in our food, water, and even the air we breathe. While research on their long-term health impact is ongoing, their growing presence in the body is reason enough for concern. This is where natural detoxifiers like chlorella, especially when paired with Lewtress’ live therapeutic kombucha, come in. Together, they help the body bind, neutralise, and eliminate harmful toxins such as microplastics and heavy metals. What Are Microplastics? Microplastics are fragments of plastic smaller than 5mm — some are so tiny, they measure just 1 micron. They’re virtually everywhere, from bottled water to seafood to household dust. Early studies suggest microplastics may contribute to: Inflammation Oxidative stress Endocrine disruption Immune imbalance Even more concerning, they can act as carriers for heavy metals, pollutants, and harmful microbes, making it easier for these toxins to enter the body. What Is Chlorella? Chlorella is a single-celled freshwater green algae, prized for both its nutrition and detox properties. It’s rich in: Chlorophyll Protein Vitamin B12 and Vitamin C Iron, magnesium, zinc Antioxidants Because of its tough cell wall, chlorella can trap and bind toxins in the digestive tract — a process called chelation. How Chlorella Helps Detox Microplastics Chlorella’s fibrous cell wall and natural compounds help: Bind heavy metals and microplastic particles before they’re absorbed Encourage safe elimination via the digestive system Reduce circulating toxins in the blood and tissues When combined with Lewtress Kombucha, you get even more support: Probiotics and enzymes that aid digestion Bioactive compounds that strengthen detox pathways Extra reinforcement for the gut–liver connection, which plays a big role in toxin removal A Natural Way to Fight Back While scientists are still uncovering the full impact of microplastics, there’s no doubt that protecting your body’s natural defences is a smart step. With Lewtress Chlorella and Kombucha, you can give your system the tools it needs to combat today’s environmental toxins — naturally and effectively. ✨ Discover the Lewtress detox range today and help your body stay strong against modern pollutants.

Kombucha and papaya for natural summer recovery support
blogpost

Get over your summer holiday hangover – naturally

Beat the Summer Hangover Naturally with Kombucha and Papaya Summer often brings sunshine, cocktails, rich meals, travel, and late nights. When your body starts to feel the after effects of too much food, alcohol, heat, or disrupted sleep, many people look for gentler ways to reset. Kombucha and Papaya Extract are often discussed as part of a natural recovery routine focused on digestion, hydration, and overall balance. Rather than relying on harsh detoxes or exaggerated quick fixes, a more realistic approach is to support the body with rest, fluids, balanced nutrition, and ingredients that may help the gut and digestive system recover more comfortably. Why Summer Recovery Can Feel Harder Summer routines can place extra pressure on the body. Alcohol, heavier meals, heat, dehydration, and poor sleep may all affect digestion, energy, and overall comfort the next day. That is why many people look for ingredients that may support hydration, gut balance, digestion, and antioxidant intake rather than making extreme detox claims. How Kombucha May Support Recovery Kombucha is a fermented tea commonly associated with probiotics, antioxidants, organic acids, and enzymes. In wellness discussions, it is often valued for its potential role in supporting digestive balance and gut health. Because digestion and hydration can feel disrupted after alcohol or rich meals, kombucha is often used as part of a routine aimed at supporting the gut and helping the body feel more settled. Tea polyphenols and other naturally occurring compounds in kombucha are also frequently discussed in relation to antioxidant support, which may be useful when the body is under temporary lifestyle stress. How Papaya Extract May Complement Digestion Papaya Extract is often chosen for its digestive support profile. Papaya contains papain, an enzyme associated with helping break down proteins, as well as nutrients such as vitamin C, vitamin A, and plant compounds linked to antioxidant support. For people who feel heavy, sluggish, or uncomfortable after indulgent food and drink, papaya is often discussed as a gentle ingredient that may help support digestion and overall recovery. This makes papaya a useful partner in a broader routine focused on digestive ease, nutrient support, and feeling more balanced after periods of overindulgence. Why Kombucha and Papaya Work Well Together Used together, kombucha and papaya may offer a more rounded recovery approach. Kombucha is commonly associated with gut balance and hydration support, while papaya is often used for digestive comfort and nutritional support. Rather than promising an instant cure, this combination is better understood as part of a practical recovery routine that may support digestion, fluid balance, and general wellbeing after lifestyle strain. Support digestive comfort after heavy meals Help maintain hydration and electrolyte balance Provide antioxidant and nutritional support Support a more balanced recovery routine after alcohol, heat, or poor sleep How to Use Them in Your Routine Before a social event or holiday meal, some people choose ingredients like kombucha and papaya as part of a more balanced routine that supports digestion and hydration ahead of time. The next morning, a lighter reset focused on fluids, easy meals, rest, and supportive digestive ingredients may help the body feel steadier and more comfortable. It is best to think of this as a wellness routine rather than a hangover cure. Long term habits such as moderation, sleep, hydration, and nutrition still matter most. Frequently Asked Questions Q: Can kombucha help with summer recovery? A: Kombucha is often discussed for gut balance, digestive support, hydration support, and antioxidant intake, which may make it a useful part of a broader recovery routine. Q: What is papaya extract used for? A: Papaya extract is commonly used for digestive support, especially because papaya contains papain and other nutrients associated with digestive ease and recovery. Q: Is this a hangover cure? A: No. It is better to present kombucha and papaya as ingredients that may support digestion, hydration, and wellbeing rather than as an instant cure. Q: What else helps after summer overindulgence? A: Hydration, lighter meals, rest, balanced nutrition, and avoiding repeated excess are still the most important foundations of recovery. Key Points To summarise, this blog is most useful when framed as realistic recovery support rather than a strong detox claim. The main ideas are: Kombucha is commonly associated with gut and digestive support Papaya extract is often used to support digestive comfort Hydration and antioxidant intake matter after heat, alcohol, and heavy meals A gentler routine is usually more credible than quick-fix detox messaging Balanced lifestyle habits remain the foundation of feeling better Reset the Natural Way When summer indulgence catches up with you, a calmer and more practical reset can be more helpful than harsh detox trends. Supporting your body with fluids, digestion friendly choices, rest, and carefully chosen wellness ingredients may help you feel more balanced again.

How to Choose the Right Natural Supplement for Your Unique Needs

How to Choose the Right Natural Supplement for You Whether you are feeling drained, struggling to unwind, or simply trying to feel more like yourself again, natural supplements can offer useful daily support. The key is choosing the right option for your own needs rather than copying what works for someone else. With so many products available, the best place to begin is by understanding your lifestyle, your goals, and the areas where your body may need more consistent support. What Are Natural Supplements Natural supplements are typically derived from herbs, plants, minerals, mushrooms, and other naturally occurring sources. They are often chosen by people who want targeted support in a form that fits more easily into a daily wellness routine. Before adding any supplement, it is always worth looking at the foundations first. Diet, sleep, hydration, movement, and stress levels often shape how effective any wellness routine will be. Start with Your Diet and Lifestyle A balanced, nutrient rich diet should always be the starting point. Even so, busy schedules, dietary restrictions, poor sleep, travel, stress, or food sensitivities can leave nutritional gaps or place extra pressure on the body. Natural supplements may help fill those gaps or provide more targeted support. If you are managing a medical condition or taking medication, it is still important to speak with a qualified healthcare professional before making changes. Know Your Main Goal The best supplement for you depends on what you want support with most. Rather than trying everything at once, it is often better to identify your main concern and choose accordingly. For low energy, ingredients such as Maca, Panax Ginseng, or L-Arginine are commonly explored as part of an energy support routine. For poor focus, many people look to nootropic style herbs such as Rhodiola for support with clarity, concentration, and resilience under pressure. For sleep troubles, ingredients such as Reishi Mushroom may be included in routines focused on calmness, rest, and night time balance. For low libido or hormonal imbalance, adaptogenic and vitality focused ingredients such as Super Strength Maca Capsules are often explored as part of a broader hormonal support routine. Other Important Factors to Consider Age can influence nutrient absorption, energy levels, and hormone balance, which means the type of support that feels most useful can change over time. Gender may also matter, especially when looking at hormones, reproductive health, and metabolism. Dietary restrictions such as vegan, vegetarian, or gluten free eating patterns may leave certain gaps, so it is always worth checking labels carefully. Activity level also plays a role. More active lifestyles may call for additional support around energy, endurance, focus, muscle recovery, or joint comfort. Watch for Common Deficiency Related Needs Sometimes the issue is not one dramatic symptom but a quieter pattern such as low energy, poor sleep, brain fog, or low resilience. In those cases, it helps to think about common nutrient and lifestyle related gaps. Vitamin D is often discussed in relation to indoor living, seasonal changes, and general wellbeing. Magnesium is widely associated with nervous system support, muscle relaxation, and better sleep quality. Iron related tiredness is another common concern, particularly for women and plant based eaters. In wellness routines built around energy and vitality, products such as Super Strength Maca Capsules are often explored as part of broader support, although they are not a substitute for diagnosing a true iron deficiency. If You Are Just Getting Started Choosing natural supplements does not need to be overwhelming. Start with your personal goals, listen to your body, and focus on quality, consistency, and simple routines. It is often better to begin with one or two well chosen supplements than to take too many at once. That makes it easier to notice what is actually helping and what fits your lifestyle best. Frequently Asked Questions Q: How do I choose the right natural supplement for me? A: Start by looking at your main goal, such as energy, focus, sleep, or hormonal balance, then choose a supplement that aligns with that need and fits your lifestyle. Q: Should I take supplements before improving my diet? A: Diet and lifestyle should usually come first, with supplements acting as support rather than a replacement for good habits. Q: Can one supplement solve everything? A: Usually not. It is often more effective to choose one or two targeted options based on your biggest need rather than expecting one product to cover everything. Q: Are natural supplements suitable for everyone? A: Not always. If you are pregnant, taking medication, or managing a medical condition, it is best to check with a qualified healthcare professional first. Key Ways to Choose More Wisely To summarise, the best way to choose the right natural supplement is to focus on: Your main goal, such as energy, focus, sleep, or hormonal balance Your diet, routine, and daily stress load Your age, activity level, and any dietary restrictions Quality ingredients and realistic expectations Starting simply and adjusting gradually At Lewtress, the focus is on pure, potent formulas designed to work with the body naturally. Whether you are exploring support for energy, clarity, rest, or vitality, ingredients such as Panax Ginseng, Rhodiola, Reishi Mushroom, Super Strength Maca Capsules, and L-Arginine can all be part of a smarter and more personalised wellness routine.

Why digestive health matters for immunity mood skin and wellbeing

Why digestive health matters more than ever

Why digestive health matters more than ever Your gut does much more than digest food. It plays an important role in immunity, mood, skin health, and hormone balance, which is why digestive health matters more than ever in modern life. With busy routines, high stress, irregular eating habits, and greater reliance on processed foods, supporting the digestive system has become a much bigger part of overall wellbeing. This article explores why gut health is so important, how daily habits can shape digestion, and how natural digestive wellness ingredients may help support the body in a more balanced way. The Role of Your Gut Your gut is home to trillions of microorganisms, often referred to as the gut microbiome. These microbes help influence digestion, metabolism, immunity, and wider aspects of health. In fact, a large portion of the immune system is closely connected to the gut, which is one reason digestive health has such a broad impact on the body. A balanced and diverse microbiome is often associated with healthier digestion, stronger gut lining support, and a better inflammatory balance. When the microbiome becomes disrupted, people may experience symptoms such as bloating, digestive discomfort, low energy, skin changes, mood fluctuations, or reduced resilience. Why Digestive Health Matters So Much Today Modern life can place a surprising amount of pressure on the digestive system. Long workdays, stress, poor sleep, low fibre intake, dehydration, frequent snacking, and heavily processed foods can all influence the gut environment over time. That is why many people now look at digestive health not as a small issue, but as something central to energy, comfort, immunity, and long term wellbeing. How to Support Digestive Health The best place to begin is with consistent daily habits rather than quick fixes. Small changes, repeated over time, often make the biggest difference. Eat to Feed Your Gut A fibre rich, plant forward diet with fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains, and fermented foods can help nourish beneficial gut bacteria. At the same time, reducing ultra processed foods and excess refined sugar may help support a healthier microbiome balance. Add Targeted Probiotic Support Probiotics are often used to help support microbiome balance, particularly after antibiotics, digestive disruption, or periods of stress. Certain strains are widely discussed for digestive comfort and gut lining support, although the right choice can depend on the individual. Stay Hydrated Water helps fibre do its job, supports smoother digestion, and plays a role in maintaining regularity. Consistent hydration can be one of the simplest and most overlooked parts of digestive care. Manage Stress The gut and brain are closely linked, which means stress can strongly influence digestion. Relaxation techniques, light movement, deep breathing, and better sleep routines may help support both mental balance and gut function. Natural Supplements for Digestive Wellness When diet and lifestyle need extra support, natural digestive wellness ingredients can be a helpful addition to a broader routine. The goal is not to replace healthy habits, but to complement them. Bayberry – Traditionally used in North America, Bayberry is often discussed for gut flora balance and broader digestive support. Chlorella – Chlorella is a nutrient dense green algae often used in routines focused on detox support, digestive balance, and general wellbeing. Slippery Elm – Slippery Elm is widely known for its soothing qualities and is often used to support comfort in the digestive tract. Wheatgrass & Barley Grass – These nutrient rich greens are often chosen to help improve nutritional intake and support broader digestive wellness. Papaya – Papaya is a natural source of papain, an enzyme associated with protein digestion and digestive comfort. Frequently Asked Questions Q: Why is digestive health so important? A: Digestive health matters because the gut influences digestion, immunity, energy, mood, skin, and wider wellbeing. Q: What affects the gut microbiome? A: Diet, stress, sleep, hydration, medication use, and lifestyle habits can all affect the balance of the gut microbiome. Q: Are probiotics enough to fix digestive issues? A: Probiotics can be supportive, but they usually work best alongside better diet, hydration, stress management, and consistent routines. Q: Can natural supplements support digestive wellness? A: Yes, natural ingredients may be used as part of a broader digestive wellness routine, especially when combined with strong daily habits. Key Points To summarise, digestive health matters more than ever because it is closely tied to: Immunity and inflammatory balance Mood and the gut brain connection Skin health and wider wellbeing Digestion, regularity, and everyday comfort Energy, resilience, and long term health Support Your Gut Naturally Your digestive system sits at the centre of everyday wellbeing, and giving it the right support can influence how you feel far beyond digestion alone. With a stronger focus on gut friendly habits, hydration, fibre, probiotic support, and carefully chosen wellness ingredients, small daily choices can make a meaningful difference over time.

How herbal supplements can help you stay well

How herbal supplements can help you stay well When it comes to keeping your immune system in top form, especially through seasonal changes or during periods of stress, herbal supplements can offer an effective, natural layer of protection. With roots in ancient traditions and now backed by modern science, these plant-powered remedies are gaining popularity for good reason. In this blog, we’ll explore what herbal supplements are, why they’re so effective for immune support, and which ingredients to look for – which can be found in Lewtress’ trusted herbal supplement range. What are herbal supplements? Herbal supplements are concentrated forms of plants, roots, berries, or fungi known for their medicinal properties. They come in many forms, like capsules, tinctures, teas, or tonics, and are used to support a range of health goals, from digestion to joint health and, most commonly, immunity. Unlike synthetic medications, herbal supplements work with the body’s natural systems. Many contain anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, or antiviral compounds that help the immune system respond to threats more efficiently, without overloading it. Immune-boosting herbal supplement ingredients From elderberry to cat’s claw, these powerful ingredients are the ones to look for in your herbal supplements when you want to give your immune system a natural boost. Elderberry Lewtress Elderberry & Echinacea Complex Elderberries have been used for centuries to fight off colds and flu, with research suggesting that they help to neutralise invading bugs and shorten the duration of cold symptoms. It’s rich in antioxidants that help reduce inflammation and support the body’s natural defences. Vitamin C A key immune-boosting ingredient in Lewtress’ High Potency Kombucha, vitamin C is essential for immune health. It supports the production and function of white blood cells, while acting as a powerful antioxidant that protects them from oxidative stress. Randomised trials have also shown vitamin C supplementation to reduce the severity and duration of cold symptoms, making it a surefire remedy for the sniffles. Vitamin B12 Lewtress Vitamin B12 Tablets Vitamin B12 is essential not only for a healthy nervous system but also for red blood cell production and energy metabolism. It serves crucial roles in DNA synthesis, nerve function, and the maturation of red blood cells, making B12 vital for efficient oxygen transport and overall vitality. This B vitamin is especially beneficial for people on plant-based diets, since plant foods tend to lack reliable B12 sources, and for those experiencing low energy or fatigue. Zinc Lewtress Wheat & Barley Grass Capsules Zinc is a vital trace mineral that plays a key role in keeping your immune system strong. It supports the development and function of important immune cells like T-cells and neutrophils, potentially helping your body respond quickly to invading viruses and bacteria. Zinc also supports the repair and maintenance of the cells lining your intestinal tract, helping to keep them healthy and functioning at their best for proper nutrient absorption. Echinacea Lewtress Echinacea Kombucha Tea Echinacea has long been used in traditional herbal medicine to help the body fight off infections, particularly those affecting the respiratory system. Research suggests it works by stimulating immune cell activity and increasing the production of cytokines, which help coordinate the immune response. Often taken at the first sign of a cold, echinacea may help reduce both the severity and duration of symptoms. Cat’s Claw Lewtress Cat’s Claw Sourced from the Peruvian Amazon, Cat’s Claw is a unique herbal remedy known for its ability to strengthen white blood cells and help the body ward off viral infections such as the common cold and flu. It’s also rich in anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds, which support joint health and overall immune resilience. With its wide-ranging benefits, Cat’s Claw is becoming an increasingly popular choice for everyday wellness. How Lewtress can help you stay well naturally Nature knows best, and Lewtress’ herbal supplements offer a smart, science-backed way to support your immune system with carefully selected ingredients. Whether you’re looking to stay well during flu season or simply boost your everyday defences, the range has something for every wellness routine.

Rosehip ‘better than painkillers’ for arthritis

Rosehip ‘better than painkillers’ for arthritis Rosehip could be more effective than painkillers at easing the pain of arthritis sufferers, scientists claim. Source: The Telegraph The pain-relieving properties of rosehip, which has previously been linked to reduced inflammation in osteoarthritis, have been suggested for decades. Now scientists have found that powder made from a wild variety of rosehip, Rosa canina, is better at reducing pain in patients than paracetamol. It is hoped that the fruit of the plant could bring relief to the more than two million sufferers of osteoarthritis in Britain, many of whom suffer acute pain. A review of studies, published in the medical journal, Osteoarthritis and Cartilage, looked at the effect of the powder on more than 300 patients who were given different pain-relieving medications for an average of three months. They found that rosehip was almost three times more effective than standard paracetamol at relieving pain. It was also almost 40 per cent more effective than another common therapy, the drug glucosamine. Rosehip powder also did not have the side-effects associated with other pain medications, including constipation anddrowsiness. The team which conducted the study, led by Dr Robin Christensen, of the Frederiksberg Hospital in Copenhagen, believes the powder works by also tackling the inflammation associated with osteoarthritis. Dr Kaj Winther, an inflammation specialist at the Frederiksberg Hospital, said: “This is very exciting news for arthritis sufferers. Some of the main advantages of taking an alternative medication such as rosehip to reduce pain are that, firstly, it is readily available over the counter and, secondly, unlike traditional painkillers, it does not produce unpleasant side-effects.” Osteoarthritis can occur in any joint in the body, although it is most common in the hands, knees, hips and spine. The disease is caused by the slow deterioration of the joint over many years and tends to run in families.

Lewtress Rosehip Supplements for Arthritis

Lewtress Rosehip Supplements for Arthritis   Rosehips have long been discussed as a traditional botanical ingredient for joint comfort, flexibility, and mobility. In natural wellness routines, rosehip is often explored by people looking for gentler support with osteoarthritis, everyday stiffness, and general joint wellbeing. Lewtress positions its Rosehip supplements around concentrated Rosa canina extract, a species commonly associated with galactolipids and broader joint support discussions. Why Rosehip Is Often Used for Joint Support Rosehip remains one of the most widely recognised plant ingredients in conversations around arthritis support. It is commonly discussed for its naturally occurring compounds, including antioxidants and galactolipids, which are often linked to inflammation balance, comfort, and mobility. A more balanced way to describe rosehip is as a supportive ingredient that may help with stiffness and everyday movement over time, rather than as an instant fix or a cure. Understanding Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis Osteoarthritis is generally associated with wear and tear in the joints over time, especially where cartilage becomes less resilient and movement becomes less smooth. This can contribute to discomfort, stiffness, inflammation, and reduced range of motion. Rheumatoid arthritis is different, as it involves inflammation affecting the joint lining and may lead to swelling, stiffness, and wider joint discomfort. In both cases, people often look for support that fits into a longer term mobility routine. Rosa Canina and Concentrated Rosehip Extract Lewtress highlights Rosa canina as the species used in its formulas. In natural health discussions, this species is often linked to the presence of galactolipids and other compounds associated with joint support. Rather than making very strong claims around dissolving debris or reversing cartilage loss, it is more credible to say that concentrated rosehip extract is commonly explored for helping support comfort, inflammation balance, and everyday movement in people dealing with stiff or uncomfortable joints. The Lewtress Rosehip Range Lewtress describes three Rosehip products within its broader range: SUPER STRENGTH Rosehip Extract Capsules 7500mg 2875mg Lewtress Rose Hip Capsules Rosehip Green Tea Kombucha For people looking for the more concentrated option, SUPER STRENGTH Rosehip Extract Capsules 7500mg can be positioned as the main daily support product within this article. What Makes the Formula Stand Out One of the main product angles here is purity. Lewtress emphasises concentrated rosehip extract and powder without additional fillers, preservatives, or unnecessary bulking agents. That can be useful for people who prefer simpler formulations and a more direct ingredient profile. The capsules are also described as vegan friendly, compact, and easy to absorb, which supports the wider positioning of the formula as a cleaner daily supplement. How to Think About Results Testimonials and user feedback can be encouraging, but it is still important to keep expectations realistic. Natural supplements usually work best when viewed as part of a longer term routine rather than a fast acting solution. Factors such as the severity of joint issues, activity levels, body weight, diet, sleep, and consistency of use can all influence how helpful a supplement feels over time. A Broader Approach to Arthritis Support Rosehip can be part of a more rounded joint support routine that also includes movement, stretching, strength work, supportive nutrition, body weight management, and medical advice where needed. That broader view is usually more useful than relying on any one product alone, especially when arthritis has been present for a long time. Frequently Asked Questions Q: Is rosehip good for arthritis? A: Rosehip is commonly discussed as a natural ingredient that may support joint comfort, flexibility, and mobility as part of a broader arthritis routine. Q: What is Rosa canina? A: Rosa canina is the dog rose species used in many rosehip supplements and is often highlighted in joint support discussions. Q: Does rosehip replace painkillers or medical treatment? A: No. Rosehip is best viewed as a supportive supplement rather than a replacement for prescribed care or medical advice. Q: How should rosehip be used? A: Rosehip is usually included as part of a consistent daily routine focused on long term mobility and joint wellbeing. Key Benefits Commonly Linked to Rosehip To summarise, rosehip is commonly associated with support for: Joint comfort and flexibility Everyday mobility and movement Inflammation balance Longer term natural joint support routines Cleaner plant based supplementation For readers looking for a concentrated option, SUPER STRENGTH Rosehip Extract Capsules 7500mg can be explored as part of a broader daily routine focused on joint comfort, mobility, and natural support.
